Since mid-2006, UECS has been the managed materials organization for ION’s Land Imaging Systems Division and is responsible for maintaining the pipeline of material supporting seven product lines across multiple manufacturing sites.

DRS started working with UECS in early 2005, rapidly increased its scope, and rolled out the implementation of the UECS model into other DRS divisions.

Since 2005, UECS has supported the materials needs for all of WatchGuard’s products. Additionally, UECS delivers an enhanced turnkey solution by partnering with WatchGuard’s approved contracted manufacturers for delivery of finished goods.

UECS was selected as a Preferred Supplier for Honeywell in 2007.

“At first, UECS provided support to Honeywell in locating critical components for a ground proximity unit for aircraft systems that we build for Boeing. Then, through their Parts Verification and Certification Process (PVCP), UECS detected and isolated a counterfeit product and prevented us from putting these components into a vital subsystem. Taking it a step further, they coordinated with the Original Component Manufacturer (OCM) to make one last production run for these critical parts and complete our program.”

EF Johnson is a leading provider of two-way radios and communication systems for law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and the military. UECS is the materials management organization for EF Johnson’s prototype and infrastructure systems.

UECS functions as their centralized materials management organization and offers a turnkey solution for EF Johnson by partnering with their approved contracted manufacturers for delivery of finished goods. UECS has been supporting EF Johnson since November of 2004.

UECS was selected as an Approved Supplier for Halliburton in January of 2008.

Motorola first contacted UECS to help locate parts that had been out of production for more than two years, with no replacement or equivalent cross-reference parts available. Through its strong supplier relationships, UECS was able to convince the OEM to re-open production lines to meet Motorola’s needs.
